Yes, my life is in transition. I am now getting used to life as a widow. What will this bring? Time will tell.

My Snowmen Friends

I'd like you to meet a few of my cutest friends
the 'Snowmen'

This card started out as a tag. When I put it on the blue cs
background...uhm....I like that. So it quickly transformed into a
Christmas card. The snow is shiny white dimensional fabric paint
The snowmen are colored with glitter gel pen on hats and buttons and
Copics for their streamlined bodies. I also used a pearlescent
snowflake on the knot of the fringe and a
Merry Christmas sticker.

Do we stamp any more?
Have digital stamps taken over?

Angel Friend

I made this card using several scrap items from my stash.
That is where the green corrugated paper and red lace came from.
Tip: Keep your scraps. A scrap might be the perfect thing for your
next project.
I designed this country themed card to go with the cute folk art
angel. I did some edge distressing with my scissors and faux stitched
around the edge of the base card. A button, red wood heart and
embroidery thread finish off the look.
Tip: Button the wrong color...color it with Copic markers or
other alcohol ink. That's what I did here.

On the I Did It Creations Challenge Blog I just finished up
the We Do It All Wednesday post on Batch Making of Cards.
There are also wonderful DT cards and a bio of one of the
DT members Gemma. Gemma has blog candy (see sidebar).

Tell Me a Story About Birds

I started this post hours ago and I'm now getting
back to it, some 5 hours later.
I was fiddling around with my digi program
and this is what I made for the following challenges.

I saw the blackbird challenge first. Next came the Story challenge.
Right I away I thought 'blackbirds baked in a pie' that will work for both challenges.
I started with the pie then added the blackbirds. Ummmm, needs a background.
I found a parchment background with an image of a king. I altered it to sepia
because the colors were much to busy as a background. Found the verse for
Four and Twenty Blackbirds and used Fairytale font in deep red. Bordered that
with red. This was then layered on a red tapestry image of an ornate
drawing room. Then I used a gold frame. The goblet was the
finishing touch. I added shadows to all of the smaller images. I like
the depth the shadows give. Not, as fancy as some I've seen but I like it.

I've been doing mostly digi lately and I'm really missing my
rubber stamps. How about you?
I am a moderator at the I Did It Creations Forum
and I decided to have a
NON-Digi Day at the Forum
Saturday, Nov 20th.
You are invited to stamp the day away with me.

Sing a Song of Christmas

This card came out just like I saw it in my head.
That always makes me happy.

The background paper is digital. The bottom layer is a soft image
of a village in the snow. Over that is a transparent image of Christmas
sheet music. The background has been distressed with red, green and brown chalks and
Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The sleigh is a new Christmas digi by
This has also been colored with with red and green chalks then
distressed with brown chalk and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I like the messy look when I use chalks. I don't even try to
stay within the lines. Flowers, berries and branches complete the card.

This card is for the following challenges:
I Did It Creations - Traditional Christmas Colors
2 Sisters - Christmas
Bee Crafty - Christmas Digi
Totally Gorjuss - Traditional Christmas colors
Crazy 4 Challenges - Christmas card/item
Stamp Something - Digi stamp

Cute Card Thurs - Anything Goes
Wild Orchid - Classic Christmas
ooooh, La La - Remember Remember

It took me days to get this card completed but finally it is.
I used a vintage silver and black background paper on black
card stock. One heart is an image from Lexi's Creations the other
is a cropped from designer paper. I did the coloring with glitter gel pens.
The black sheer fabric is from a child's Halloween costume and the
gold metallic threads are really gold angel hair for Christmas use.
A sparkly butter, glittered flowers, ribbon and gems and there ya' go.

Fairies are Magical and so are Blog Awards.

Let's begin with my
Magical Fairy

My fairy is colored with Glitter Gel Pens. You can't see the glitter on the
flowers but it is there. The star charm is brand new. I didn't have any in my
stash but now I have lots and lots of them. The paper that I chose wasn't the
right color of gold so I distressed using yellow. That helped to make it brighter.
I listed all of the challenges for this card below.

More magic.
I was given two blog awards in the past few days.
How nice is that. Pretty darn nice.
My Beautiful Blogger Award is from

My I Got the Attitude Blog Award is from

my blog award duties. But, thank you so much and I will proudly post
