New Additions to the Family

The newest addition to our family. Darn, she isn't mine ... she
belongs to Elva in Montana. Elva is part of my extended family.
I hear that little Bella is fearless.
Bella was brought from California by my brother.
She had a long trip but made it without complaint. She has
settled right in and made herself right at home with Elva. Mom and
Jim get to babysit her occasionally.

Another new addition to our I Did It Creations family

Sparkle and Shine with a little Bling

Well, I am a happy camper again. The sun has decided
to make an appearance here again in Myrtle Beach. It has
been cold, gloomy and oh so dreary for days. Ahhh, but
today warm and glorious sun.
A little bit of natures sparkle and shine.

This is a really cute digi from Beary Dust Stamps.
Beary Dust is also this week's sponsor for
where this week our challenge is

the rose. I love my Distress Inks.

My Attempt at Steampunk

I think this is only my second attempt at Steampunk.

Steampunk art mixes modern ideas and technology with those from the past, namely the Victorian Age, when the Industrial Revolution was in full swing and steam was a major source of power. The genre started with literature, where science fiction and fantasy met Victorian-era scientists, but has since evolved to include all art forms, according to Web Urbanist.

Even with this description from eHow I'm not sure I'm on the right track.
I think I need to Google some more examples.
We've all got to start somewhere.

The background paper with the script is from Dezinaworld.

This qualifies for the following challenges
Creative Friday - Vintage
Sunday PC - Steampunk Inspired

Thanks for letting me practice on you.

The challenge this week at Sunday Postcard Art is
Home Sweet Home
Home Sweet Home for me is the small beach community
of Murrells Inlet, SC. We are located just South of Myrtle Beach and
North of Charleston, SC. My home isn't right on the beach like
the one pictured, nor as large, but it is close to the beach and very comforable.
I've never been happier living anywhere.
This area really is 'Home Sweet Home' to me.
