Yes, my life is in transition. I am now getting used to life as a widow. What will this bring? Time will tell.

I Am A Happy Camper

Why you may ask. Because it is raining here today.
We are in the midst of our annual 'pollen drop' here in
my area of SC. It has been just horrible. Everything is covered with green dust.
My sinus have complained for days. Finally, a nice cleansing rain.
Bye bye pollen.

Today is the IDIC Challenge which began this morning.
Our theme is Purple and Pink. The DT made some
beautiful samples using our sponsor for the week, Stitchy Stamps,
digi stamps. Now, I was a bad girl and didn't use any purple
on my card but I did use this gorgeous Easter Gems by Stitchy Stamps.
Stop in and join us for our IDIC Challenges. Each week we offer a
freebie and a chance to win a prize.

This is my purpleless card.
(uhm, is that a word?)

My card works for the following challenges
Lexi's Creations - knot or bow

Dancing to a Happy Tune

I'm dancing right along with this ducky.
The days here are balmy and warm. Yesterday, I bought
a new pair of pruners and I'm going out today and do some more
clean up. I should have done most of this before winter set in.
I'm somewhat behind in my gardening. Next fall I want to
poke some Daffodil bulbs in the ground. They are everywhere here
and so pretty for the season.

Another bit of news for you. My daughter and husband leave
Tues night for an exciting trip to Thailand. I'm sure I'll have some
wonderful photos to share with you when she returns.

Sunday is new challenge day at
This week our challenge for you is

Here is my card using a Robyn's Fetish digi stamp.
Robyn's Fetish is also our sponsor for the IDIC masking challenge
this week. So pop on over and join in the challenge.

I used the fun Masking Technique to make this card. It really is simple to do
even with a digi. I just printed out my digi twice. Used one for the card and cut
one out to lay over the other. Then I chose a background stamps and stamped
over everything. Pulled off the mask and then colored my card.

You can be so creative with masking. Especially if you use rubber stamps.
It really is fun and easy to create a scene using this technique.
To see just how far you can go with masking visit

This card is also for the following challenges:

Just for Fun - New Technique
Stampavie - Birds
Scrapbook Sisters - Easter Animal
Paper Playtime - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Incy Wincy - Pastels

Tip Toe Thru the Tulips

I haven't seen any Tulips in the neighborhood yet. Just lots and lots
of Daffodils.

How many of you remember the TV show Laugh-in. I do. I watched
it every week. That is where I saw Tiny Tim tip toe through the Tulips for
the very first time.

The show gave publicity to singer Tiny Tim, a large man with long dark hair, a prominent nose and a cheap suit. He sang in falsetto while accompanying himself on ukulele. Tiny Tim was Herbert Khaury, a serious scholar of Tin Pan Alley tunes who hit upon this strangely humorous characterization. Thanks to appearances on the show, he recorded a piercing version of the 1920s song "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" which became a Top-40 hit. Tiny Tim was later married on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson to Victoria Budinger, who was known as Miss Vicki. Martin would often refer to Tim's appearances by asking Rowan with some concern, "You're not gonna bring back Tiny Tim, are you?"

In Like a Lion Out Like a Lamb

I love this theme at One Powerful Hour this week. I did take a few
liberties with the theme. Unless, you count our weather here in
Coastal SC. Our March weather has roared in like a Lion with rain, wind, clouds
and general all over gloom. Today we have a brief bit of sun before the bad
weather roars in again. When will it be going out like a lamb. Soon I hope.
My creation is digital. I gathered up the images that I wanted to use.
Next I did some filtering. I used the canvas filter on the lion and lamb and the scenery
and the grain filter on the background. My freehand cropping isn't the best.
I hid the worst behind some grass. I like how this turned out. I hope that
you do, too.

Have a wonderful day.
Thanks for stopping by.

Work with a Sketch

Using a sketch isn't something that I do much anymore.
I should probably do more of them because they get me out of
my comfy design rut.

This sketch was made by I Did It Creations DT member

This is my take of the sketch using
A.J. the Race Car Driver
Who is also sponsoring our Sketch Challenge this week at IDIC.
Stop by and pay us a visit.

This card also works for the following challenges
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Phindy's Place - Oh Baby
Paper Playtime - Anything Goes

We are expecting a rainy day here at the beach today.
At least the cold seems to have gone away for good.
I was out yesterday doing more Spring yard clean up. I have
several new things popping up here and there. And, best of all,
my dwarf fig is loaded with leaf buds. Last year I had such a good
harvest. The figs might be small but they are so sweet. Yummy.
They will all love getting a good soaking today.
