Yes, my life is in transition. I am now getting used to life as a widow. What will this bring? Time will tell.

Pretty Eggs

This year Easter is celebrated on April 8th.
I remember as a girl getting my special Easter dress to
wear to church on Easter Sunday.   Coloring eggs was always fun, too.
A very fond memory of mine from when my children were little was
dying our white poodle Ralph with food coloring.   He loved it.
He just pranced around enjoying all of the attention.
Ralph was the talk of the neighborhood that Easter.

This piece is a digital creation for
and
Peggy has beautiful images of eggs for us to use.
I chose images of my own this time.

I love these decorated eggs.
My egg decorating was never this beautiful.

Until next time.....

In a Vintage frame of mind

I'm back from being at my mom's in Montana.   It was a nice visit.
The weather was snowy when my daughter, Susan, and I arrived.
We did have some nice days while there so we had
no problems getting around.

One of the fun things that Susan and I did was drive to Libby Dam
and see the Birds of Prey presentation.   This was really a fabulous program.
I'm so glad the community, all ages, packed the house.
The rest of the time was spent eating out, shopping at local thrift stores and
just catching up with each other.

I'm fortunate and I've traveled around the US quite a lot.  One thing
I've searched and search for during these travels is a moose.
Finally, I saw a female moose drinking from a stream during this
visit to mom's.   I'm a happy woman.

I'm sharing with everyone today a couple of vintage pieces that
I just completed.   I'm submitting these for the CT call at the new

This first piece uses an image from their debut freebie.

My next vintage project begins with a lovely fashion sketch

The above two pieces are digital.  This is one that I did by hand using
papers and elements from 7 Gypsies Conservatory Collection.

That's it for today.
Until next time.....thanks for stopping by.

This week at Digitalmania  the challenge features

Surreal - Dream Time

The surreal style is always hard for me.   I keep trying.  With my
following pieces, I had plenty of help from DeviantScrap.

Biking Fun in the Summer

Bike

On the cute side but really fun to put together.
If I counted right....I used 7 images to make this.
All images are from my collection.

My first bike was blue.   I had it way before there were brakes and gears.
My latest bike is almost the same as my first one only painted
a lovely shade of purple.   Still no brakes or gears.

Pretty Pirates

It's kind of fun to find a pretty pirate for a change.
This is for the Pirate challenge at
Maybe not quite as dark as the challenge site requires but
she doesn't look all that innocent to me.

This pirate is just too darn pretty for his own good.

Going Back in Time with 4x4 Friday

The challenge at 4x4 Friday is Vintage.

I chose Mark Twain as my inspiration for this vintage challenge.

I haven't read many of his novels....just couldn't get into them.
But, I did live near Virginia City, NV, where he first worked on the
local newspaper, Virginia City News.  Virginia City is a small colorful
old silver mining town near Reno, NV.

 My husband and I have
visited there many many times.   A favorite leather handbag came
from one of their gift shops.   Virginia City is also home to the very

My mom and dad visited Virginia City during the filming of the Misfits
with Clark Gable, Montgomery Clift and Marilyn Monroe.  Mom met
Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift but Marilyn wasn't filming that day.
Clark Gable died of a heart attack shortly after filming was completed.

Clark Gable
February 1, 1901 – November 16, 1960
Montgomery Clift
October 17, 1920 – July 23, 1966

Marilyn Monroe
June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962

Until next time.....

Feathered Friends

Sunday Postcard Art has one of my favorite subjects
this week.....birds.   I love to watch the birds in my yard.
Being at the beach I also get to see many shore birds.   My favorite
of those are the sweet little sandpipers.   I love to watch them scurry
along the breaking waves.

They are very shy and move so quickly that it is hard to get a
really good picture of them.

We also have lots of ponds along the roads here.
Many of our ponds are home to beautiful swans.
I can't take credit for this adorable photo but I just love it.

Credit goes to Art Freebies.

Yep, I did make something for the Feathered Friends challenge

All images are from my collection.

It's Been a Long Time........

.....since I've made an appearance at my blog or have done a challenge.
I'm slowly getting back in the swing of things after a horrendous 2 weeks
with an abscessed tooth.   The infection blossomed in a matter of hours
sending me to the ER for relief early on a Saturday morning.    I've never had
so much swelling and pain come so quickly.   The following Monday morning the
oral surgeon lanced my abscessed gum and the healing began.
There is no saving the tooth due to a broken root.   Monday the
offending tooth will be pulled.    About the only good thing that
happened during this time is that I lost weight.   Now to just keep it off.

This week begins a new 2 week challenge at
Soartful - Harlequin

Carla has two really nice harlequinn pieces that we can
use and some lovely DT samples.   I like this theme so I had some in my collections to use.

Harlequin Woman - Dezinaworld
The rest of the images from
Midnight Cinderella Deviantscrap

When I think Harlequin I think of something like this......

What about these two unusual Harlequins?

Harlequin Poison Dart Frog
Thank goodness this little guy lives in Columbia.

Harlequin Great Dane
I wouldn't mind if this cutie lived with me.

Until next time.....
